Due to Injuries, the Ravens Look Like an Expansion Team

After coming up two games short from reaching the Super Bowl a year ago, Baltimore Ravens fans entered the 2015 season with high hopes. Despite losing Torrey Smith, the man who was Joe Flacco’s deep threat, to free agency, fans were confident with the addition of 1st round draft pick Breshad Perriman, the team could get back to Super Bowl. However, an anniversary season of high hopes has quickly turned into a nightmare.  Read the rest on the story on Fox Sports 1340 AM.

WWE 2015 Survivor Series Predictions

At this the 2015 Survivor Series history will be made as we crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Here are my predictions for the night.

Tyler Breeze was recently promoted to the main roster after a few years in NXT. His first victim was another pretty boy, Dolph Ziggler. I personally was a Ziggler fan, but let's be honest, he has fallen off. A year ago he was closing the show, and this year he is back trying to steal it. Breeze is the future and he will win this match in a very dirty tactic.

Charlotte (c) vs. Paige
These two women were the best of friends, but a jealous Paige caused her to turn on Charlotte. After Monday's contract signing, things got even more personal when Paige mentioned Charlotte's deceased brother Reid. Fans will get behind Charlotte more than ever as she look to retain her title, but Paige is a veteran and has Charlotte right where she wants her. Look for a new Divas Champion this Sunday.

Bray Wyatt has consistently reminded everyone that he is the new face of fear. When he made his debut on the main roster in 2013, Kane was his first victim. Over a year later, he challenged the Undertaker at WrestleMania, only to come up short. Now with the Wyatt family reunited, and a powerhouse like Braun Strowman, Wyatt will look to end the Brothers of Destruction once and for all. However we all know that Undertaker and Kane are going out on their own terms, and they are not ready to rest in peace. In the end, the Brothers of Destruction will teach the Wyatt Family a lesson.

Tournament semifinal match
Dean Ambrose, the Lunatic Fringe, was crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion, only to have the decision reversed and now he has another opportunity. He has made it very clear that he is crazy and will do whatever it takes. Kevin Owens has vowed that he will dig deeper to his crazy side to deal with Ambrose. He makes it very clear every week that history begins with him and that he does this for his family. That determination will be too much for Ambrose. Owens will be in the Finals.

Tournament semifinal match
There is no one who has been on more of a rollercoaster ride in this tournament than Roman Reigns. He won the Royal Rumble, but he had to defend his spot at WrestleMania at Fastlane. After retaining, his former best friend Seth Rollins invaded his WrestleMania match to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. After earning a title shot to face Rollins at Survivor Series, Rollins was hurt and again, Roman had to prove himself. Now he will face a returning Alberto Del Rio, the United States Champion. Del Rio is motivated to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but Reigns will not allow anything to get in the way.

Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Finals
Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens have their reasons why they can be the champion. Triple H gave Reigns an opportunity to be his man, but Reigns turned it town. When Owens first debuted on NXT, he was a Triple H guy. When he made his debut on the main roster, he got the attention of Stephanie McMahon, even to the point where then champion Rollins was jealous. What better time for the Authority to stay in control then to pull the trigger on Kevin Owens. When it is all said and done, your new WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be Kevin Owens.

Too Soon for Kevin Owens, NOPE! It’s Just the Right Time.

As we approach Sunday’s 29th edition of the Survivor Series, there will be a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion crowned. This years contenders include Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Alberto Del Rio, and Kevin Owens. Del Rio, the current United States Champion, is the only participant in the final four who has been WWE Champion. Roman Reigns won last year’s Royal Rumble but fell short at WrestleMania after Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contact. As we know Reigns was set to face Rollins at Survivor Series, but was forced to vacate the title due to injury. While it seems to be time for the Roman Empire, Kevin Owens, who already has won the NXT and Intercontinental Championships, has been on the fast track to superstardom. Now it is time to pull the trigger.

As we get closer to WrestleMania season, injuries have seemed to take a toll on the WWE. Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Rusev and one of the biggest phenomenons in the past five years, Daniel Bryan are all sidelined. And right now, John Cena is on vacation. Roman Reigns has had a difficult time maintaining the crowd support. One day they are on his side, the next day they hate him.

Kevin Owens has been in the wrestling business for over a decade and he continues to remind everyone that he is the best at what he does. If you are not familiar with his work as Kevin Steen, I advise you to check out his work at Ring of Honor.  He was must see television. When he arrived at NXT, he skyrocketed to the main event picture his first night. After his best friend, Sami Zayn, won the NXT Championship, Owens celebrated with him, and then attacked him immediately. At the next NXT Takeover, Owens was the new NXT Champion. Just like he did at Ring of Honor, he made NXT must see television.

Many people are saying that it is too soon for Owens to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I like to compare him to the 16-time World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair. Flair signed with the WWE in August of 1991. At that time he was still recognized as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. This led to the WWE Championship being vacated since Flair was calling himself the "Real World Champion" and in January of 1992, he was the new Undisputed WWE World Champion. During this time WWE dominated the north, while WCW dominated the south. While Flair was a household name in the wrestling community, however there were still sports entertainment fans that never saw the best of Flair. Sure they had access to the magazines and there were tape traders, but fans never experienced the real Ric Flair in the north. When Flair became WWE champion, he thrived in the land of the giants.  And just like that Flair’s following increased.

While Owens did not enter the WWE as a world champion, the momentum he entered the company with is very similar to what Flair had in 1992. In 2015 Kevin Owens winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is best for business.
